Fall Soccer - ECSA All-Star Program
The Essex County Soccer Association, in partnership with the Windsor F.C. Nationals - District Club for Boys and the Eastside Kickers Soccer Club - District Club for Girls, is pleased to announce try-outs for the fall soccer program for ECSA All-Star players.
Who?Boys and girls born in 1999, 2000, and 2001, and registered with ANY club, are eligible to try out for this ECSA sanctioned program.
When?Tryouts FOR BOYS will be held on the following dates:
Sunday, July 11 @ 11:00 AM at Riverside High School
Sunday, July 18 @ 11:00 AM at Riverside High School

Where?ECSA All-Star Teams will play in Michigan’s high-calibre Western Suburban Soccer League and Michigan Youth Soccer League in September and October.
Details...Practices: 1-2 times / week beginning in September, following the conclusion of local leagues. All games will be played on weekends. Players will return to their clubs after the fall season.
Players born in '99 will also have the opportunity to try out for the new, U12 District Club team for 2011 to represent all local clubs in Windsor/Essex County and play in the Regional League (WOYSL) in Southwestern Ontario.
Cost?There is NO cost to try out. Registration for selected players will be $50 for an 8-10 game fall season (includes equipment).

What are the All Star Teams?

These are girls and boys teams at age 9, 10, and 11, formed to help with the transition to a higher calibre of soccer. Players selected for an all-star team will also be able to play for their local club team.

Who Runs the All Star programme?

The ECSA is in charge of the All Star Teams.

How does my child apply for a tryout for an All Star team?

The committee, and ECSA, along with the District Clubs, will inform every club and coach of the date, time, and location of the try-outs.

Who will coach these teams?

Applications to coach these teams will be sent to the ECSA from interested coaches, who will appoint the most suitable candidates.

Who will pay for these programmes?

Players, who make the District Club and all-star teams, will be asked to pay, as they would with any other club. The All Star team costs will be subsidised by the ECSA.
